Decided to check out Twitter. This is what's "trending" in my area. D: by eff_bawmbin trees

The humor comes from all the idiots who respond (and they retweet), who take it seriously and start screaming that they hope they all die.

Best burger in Los Angeles? (excluding In N Out) by MC_5H17H34Din LosAngeles

As far as I can tell they're identical, although it's been a while since I've been to the original as well.

F.O. is still my favorite, but The Six Burger from The Six on Pico and Overland has an excellent burger as well and is a close second for me.

Umami is also really good.

The Indoctrination Theory (HUGE END-GAME SPOILERS) by Aeroxin masseffect

[–]Aerox[S] 0 points1 point ago*

Surprised no one had posted this yet. I think it makes TOTAL sense, and after I've been reading it all night, I think it's 100% correct and genius. Especially given that on my first go through the ending, I picked synthesis ending because it seemed like the "peaceful"/"right" choice, but now looking back I basically would have essentially turned everyone into a reaper. The reapers even indoctrinated me. :(

Would love to see discussion on this, because I went from being pretty lukewarm on the ending (I didn't hate it) to incredibly jazzed. There's just too much stuff for it to be passed off as coincidence/laziness, and it's really deep and explains a TON. (It also makes Kotaku's indignant article about the ridiculousness of shooting The Illusive Man being a renegade choice hilariously ironic.)

That said, I would still understand if people saw it as a DLC grab, but for me personally it's interesting enough I don't mind.

I had NOTHING to do with the formulation of this theory.

The Indoctrination Theory (Huge ME3 end-game spoilers; xpost from r/masseffect) by Aeroxin gaming

I suspect this will be met with a lot more hostility in r/gaming, but I'm still curious to see what people think. It makes a lot of sense to me.

Problem with ME3 import, desperately seeking some assistance. by DisgustingBLTin masseffect

[–]Aerox 0 points1 point ago

I've spent four hours trying every single recommended fix I've found and the game absolutely will not even see my save files.

ME1 to ME2 complete run, on legitimate purchased copies, with absolutely no hacking, done within the last month. ME3 refuses to see them, and i can't import.

I'm currently waiting in line with Origin support to get my money back. We'll see how that goes -- if it goes poorly, I guess we'll have a problem. Hilariously, everyone I know who pirated the game has had zero problems. Take that as you will.

Personally? There are certain cases, particularly ones that come down to technicalities of the law, that I'd keep lawyers on (assuming the technicalities resolved in our favor). However, most attorneys are so uncomfortable with the idea they'll strike you.

I wouldn't count it out entirely, especially if it's a relatively low key case, but if it's a big deal complicated multi-week trial, one side will probably end up striking you.

I put all my old furniture out in my alley when I refurnished my apartment and it all had vanished literally within 90 minutes of me setting it out there.

TIL: The HeroEngine (the engine used by SW:TOR) was developed by Simutronics, makers of old school text MUDs Gemstone III and DragonRealms. by Amos_e_Somain swtor

[–]Aerox 1 point2 points ago

Heh, I remember the name Khaman too. (Edit: and I see Majorly's in here as well!)

Played Dragonrealms pretty much non-stop from the time I was about 12 to around 18 or 19. Still the best gaming experience I've ever had.

My mom taught a psychology class on Human Sexuality for a while at a community college in California. You would be fucking stunned to see what some of these kids believe.

  • You can't get pregnant the first time you have sex
  • You can get pregnant from anal sex because the sperm can swim into the uterus through your butt
  • You can't get pregnant if you have sex in a hot tub

Despite the problems, this game is still awesome. Let's support the devs and let them know we care by sn0rin swtor

Eh, there's two separate issues. I think you're right when it comes to things like game balance, or op difficulty, or certain gameplay mechanics.

Some stuff though, like the auction house interface or really just the UI in general, boggle my mind. Those don't require any sort of progression, and it boggles my mind as to how someone sat down and thought that the current auction house was in any way acceptable. That's something where they could have looked at game like WoW and said "Oh hey, the auction house is a huge part of the economy and whole metagames spring up around it. We should invest some time into ours." Instead someone decided to make it as miserable to use as possible. And that's not something that requires "progression" to make -- you don't have to make something broken and then slowly mold it into something useful when it comes to UI.

My thrilling PvP experience by Aeroxin swtor

[–]Aerox[S] 0 points1 point ago

I get that PvP can be fun, but can we PLEASE have brackets now? It's really not fun getting put into an 8v11 where the opposing side has 9 fully geared level 50 guildies taking on a team where the highest member is level 38.

Scoundrel/Operative rotation advice, please? (Pre Shoot First) by Aeroxin swtor

[–]Aerox[S] 0 points1 point ago

I'm doing most of those. Tranquing strongest mob in a pac, taking out the easy ones. I haven't used Flashbang much -- I'll try tossing that into the rotation.

I hadn't been healing, because even with the points in healing my heals simply weren't doing enough, and the DPS loss was usually enough to cause me to die.

Thanks for the suggestions!
