But on the plus side, an island there would be great for anyone with a Biology/Chemistry based degree. Lots of flora and fauna never discovered or exploited.

You also forget that there is also Lymphatic filariasis and Onchoserisis, both of which are nasty parasitic diseases, especially if you are immuno compromised, which is often hidden because of better healthcare.

Tennessee Man loses $22,000 to cops. No charges filed, no arrest made. "If somebody told me this happened to them, I absolutely would not believe this could happen in America." That was the reaction of a New Jersey man who found out just how risky it can be to carry cash through Tennessee. by Mind_Virusin politics

The US police force are like mafia or Yakuza, you bring money into 'their' territory and they want all or a cut of it. Also, that is the worst police uniform I've ever seen, it looked like he was working for MacDonalds, with his brown polo shirt.

You'd think they'd be happy that everyone is amazed by their gaming set up? If you don't want people to see it don't post it on the internet( or other forms of media sharing).

J.J. Abram's "Revolution" looks to be our kind of show. by TyGossin geek

[–]AceCake 1 point2 points ago

This show makes no sense whats so ever. Did an EMP just go off or is it a device thats constantly on suppressing any electricity being used? If its EMP, then you can just use batteries, steam and wind power until you can rebuild. If its a device suppressing electricity, then I have no idea...

I'am ready for ... Diablo! by Zebronein Diablo

[–]AceCake 0 points1 point ago

I've been making Caribbean, Italian and British home cooked meals for the past couple of weeks and then freezing the extra potions. Used half for my exams, saved the other half for Diablo 3. I also have finished all washing up and bought a few extra plates that were on offer, this way I eat healthily and civilised.

Also you need more biscuits, one packet of Oreo's just dosen't cut it for me.

I'm in exactly the same boat, just finished my degree, ready to get back into to some serious online gaming with all this free time, instead of hanging around job sites which is starting to send me crazy.

TIL we grow enough food for 10 billion people and we still have a world hunger problem. by loadgrumpyin overpopulation

[–]AceCake 4 points5 points ago

Yes but the food is also grown to feed animals and for industrial use, not all of it actually goes to humans. I'm not saying that we couldn't feed everyone, but not all food crops are food bound.

I once gave my mom a cd, and she told me all the songs sounded the same. I then found that her cd player was on track repeat. What are your parents' technology fails? by pseudosarain AskReddit

[–]AceCake 1 point2 points ago

I taught my Mum to play an online freemium game, I stopped playing it after awhile, but she carried on playing and made friends through the game. I'm go back home for a long visit and I'm a bit bored, so I reopen my old game account and start playing again with her. She then proceeds to teach me how to play and acts all oblivious when I point out I know how to play, because it was me whom originally taught her too play. Frustrating.

Public transportation kinds and prices worldwide by nextsnakein AskACountry

[–]AceCake 0 points1 point ago

UK: Public transport is everywhere, but it is run by many different companies, this means that the price varies greatly all over Britain. Most people use buses and trains, some cities/towns have a tram system as well and London has the Underground. There are also coaches and taxis can be much cheaper than buses and trains if they are shared. Price mainly goes up with the petrol, so about once or twice a year, more for trains.

Male Birth Control: New Procedure Is 100 Percent Effective, Reversible by diggroin science

[–]AceCake 0 points1 point ago

Oh I know, I have them as well. I was just referring to how the efficiency of female birth controls can vary from woman to woman, I know the coil and the chip like one in the arm are pretty reliable but I and my friends have been affected differently by the injection and pill forms.

Male Birth Control: New Procedure Is 100 Percent Effective, Reversible by diggroin science

[–]AceCake 3 points4 points ago

It will most likely vary from man to man, like female birth controls do. There will probably be monthly, then every six months, then yearly check ups. That's the system the use for first time use of birth control for women(in Britain).

Well I wouldn't say babies cost as much as you let them, if the baby falls seriously ill its very expensive, even in Britain where healthcare is free, you still need to pay for hospital trips and stays. So I'd say in the best case scenario it would be $1000.

The prices of soyabean, wheat, rice and other staples are rising. Analysts warn that higher prices could persist. by mjanesin overpopulation

[–]AceCake 0 points1 point ago

Well Britain is in Double dip recession, and these staples are reflecting the same affect, of price increase, for both dips in '08 and '12. So its not really surprising.

That's not sexless that's just dickless, which is probably a better description as he clearly can't handle women being in positions of power.

It depends how bad the facial hair is, lol I'm joking, although there was one guy at a supermarket I worked at, who thought his facial hair was awesome, it really wasn't as it was really patchy and sorta looked like he'd been attacked by shears.

It's the same thing as having non-symmetrical boobs and guys expecting women with symmetrical boobs (like in anime/advertisements/porn), even though that's quite rare in women.
