The taste was actually fairly balanced. I got some of the hot chocolate flavor along with the bacon. I wouldn't say it was great, but I would eat it again.

From what I have heard, it is rather delicious. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm in the process of getting things together so I could. The plan is to have one batch of various types of chocolate covered bacon (dark, milk, white, etc.).

The experiment won't be run until sometime next week at the earliest, though.

I don't go into these experiments expecting everything to taste great (example: thyme), I'm simply trying to expand my bacon universe.

The peanutbutter and strawberry ones actually tasted rather good.

For now, I'm just eating the bacon as-is.

Fresh minced garlic tasted a bit too garlic-y, and I didn't want the garlic to overpower the bacon. My thoughts were along the line of: "I want to taste X-flavored bacon, not bacon-flavored X."

I covered both sides of the bacon in peanutbutter before putting it on a wire rack, then into the oven it went.

Yes, indeed it is delicious, but it got a little predictable after a while. I make no claim to be anywhere near a great food-experimenter-type-person (I'm sure there's an actual word for that), but I figured: "why not give it a try?"

I'm bad at descriptions: garlic flavored bacon.

The trick was to use less garlic powder than I had the previous time (this was my third attempt at garlic bacon). I've tried using fresh minced garlic, but it didn't taste the way I wanted.

Previously when I had experimented with bacon, it was the honey bacon that was my favorite. However the peanutbutter bacon just took that top spot.

I rubbed in strawberry preserves to both sides of the bacon and let it sit for half an hour. I added on some extra strawberry bits onto the top right before it went in the oven. The same process was repeated in the other flavored bacons.

Vodka bacon is already marinating in the fridge. Later today I'm getting rum, whisky, and maybe some tequila for other flavors.

The 4th text block down should read: "Take the other disposable pot pie pan . . ." (not "pans").

Also, my oven is a little off. You may need to reduce the temperature and/or cooking time.
