[Assuming X and Y are complete sentences when set alone.]

"Because X, Y." is correct (as is if X, Y.)

I'm sorry but I don't think you understand why diablo 3 doesn't have offline play. Let me explain.

1.) Auction house. They want to be able to balance the auction house. If you are able to hack in items it ruins the point of the auction house (possible solution: make auction house unavailable for single player gamers)

2.) Piracy. It worked. The game can't be pirated and work on official servers. It's just like an mmo or wow in that case.

3.) Keep all your character info. Accidentally deleted your character? No problem. Just call up customer support.
