I have done an experiment, and my conclusion is that (contrary to what the tool-tip says) the game does NOT award you the XP points you have earned if you leave a match early. by moby323in Tribes

[–]3HackBug77 1 point2 points ago

The one way I could see it working is if they awarded on top of your next previous match. I could do my own experiment later, with playing for ~20 minutes, then leaving, then joining another game to play through to end, and seeing what the resulting XP is. It's definitely a very major issue if its true, I'd like to give Hi-Rez the benefit of the doubt until it's more thoroughly confirmed though.

While Engineering and Math may not be "liberal arts", the most liberal people I've met in college, and the most liberal professors I've met, come from those disciplines, and I didn't list it but Science is even more true for this.

The only exception to this was that the single English class I've taken had a Very liberal professor, but he acknowledged this about himself, and was definitely an outlier in the department. The philosophy and art classes I have taken have all had more conservative viewpoints than the Science disciplines I have taken...

I'm sorry that you seem to think that college has this huge indoctrination conspiracy, but it just isn't true. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/04/opinion/sunday/college-doesnt-make-you-liberal.html?_r=1

I've been in some of the [supposedly] most liberal parts (philosophy, engineering, math) of a liberal college (University of Washington) in a liberal part of the US, and I don't hear shit anywhere near to what you are describing. People tend to be liberal, yes, but they also tend to be willing to argue viewpoints. There aren't as many republican groups on campus, yes, but they do exist, and that's more representative that I'm in a liberal city.

RE: The Graduate

Julia learned that 1) There is no morality, except 2) All capitalists are evil and responsible for destroying the world; and 3) everything good in life comes from the government free of charge.

I must have missed that class. Was that Idiot Bullshit 101 or 102?

Seriously, this is so mindboggling stupid it blows my mind that anyone, even in this subreddit, would upvote it. I mean, if you want to criticize liberals on actual points, that'd be something else entirely, but this almost literally hurts to read.

That doesn't make Jamison any worse, but rather improves on the story that OP gave.

I'd be utterly shocked if anyone of moderate or even low intelligence believed that.

You stop being shocked about such things when you meet people such as parts of my extended family

Probably the realest rap you will ever hear... by ryanpvpin hiphopheads

First verse was kind of lame, I almost stopped it. There's any number of reasons why his ex wouldn't have stayed with him, and I don't like hearing artists complain about s.o.'s when they have plenty of reason to be of blame.

However, Second verse was great, could really feel the emotion and regret.

I'd call that a win overall

Would love to hear this one, since it's basically the main thing in the way of legalization right now.

Yes and no. The current law is really bad due to some line-item vetos done by Gregoire at the last second.

And like Wolomago said, they probably missed the "medical" part, since we have a initiative (a very good one in fact) on the ballot this year for legalization.

Wow, so #1, chill out bro, this is /r/homestuck

2, the "that said" pretty clearly was referring to what you were saying. As in:

Ah, but if you look to the character of "momma" she was always full of heart. :)

That said, yes, that is exactly what OP is implying.

There's a coffee shop in Seattle (Trabant coffee in the U-district) that routinely puts memes on a chalkboard advertising their specials.

Today they had Professor Farnsworth saying "Good news everyone! [soup name] is available today!"

Sometimes when that happens what you are actually seeing is the motorcycle already in the way, and for them it's often easier to get into the driver's line of sight than it is to risk braking and throwing yourself off the bike.

At least that's how it happened for me once or twice when I was riding. People have a hard time seeing bikes a lot of the time :-\

Pokemon Drinking Game - Corrected Version by titan413in pokemon

[–]3HackBug77 0 points1 point ago

So... friends and I gave this a shot last night. everyone had finished a drink barely after rounding the first corner. We got a little further but eventually we were too wasted to continue. We apparently are not true pokemon masters.

Great job, you nailed it.

Broke the connector from my tonearm wires to cartridge. Am I screwed? by 3HackBug77in vinyl

[–]3HackBug77[S] 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, in retrospect this would have been what I would have done, but I didn't have a pair of needle nose pliers handy, and I thought the wires would be more durable than that, which was not a very good assumption in hindsight.

I like the idea of GGG not actually being a person, but rather an idea.

He is all of us at our best.

But if I met him that would be cool too.
