Hey, I didn't see this petition until recently, and I am sure that this is the same for others. Besides, what you say is somewhat hyperbole, as all of the posts aren't from the same time. You are right that this might be excessive, but I still wish that we could get it over with.

Also, I'm guessing (correct me if I'm wrong), but I think that the idea of the petition is to bring attention to the idea, and not necessarily bring about immediate laws to reallocate funds.

Your responses actually make sense, and I agree that there is nothing preventing mods censoring posts. I just don't agree with it.

The only problem is ... I did post in r/politics, and got several hundred upvotes before the post was removed by the mods for "not being relevant to politics." There have also been a number of intelligent discussions, coupled with questions to the mods of why they removed posts, with only vapid responses coming as a result.

First of all, just because I am posting this in r/askreddit does not mean that no one who subscribes to r/politics will see this post.

Secondly, my post in r/politics, which had several hundred upvotes, was removed by the mods there (you can guess why).

Whatever gave you the notion that Reddit is a democracy?

Does this not give me a right to complain, and are you going to further contribute to this becoming less of a democracy?
