My rabbits used to love these yogurt chips but we haven't gotten them for a while since we keep them on only fresh food now (with a tiny bit of pellets to make sure they're getting everything they need).

For some reason they popped into my head today, and my rabbits still have nothing that makes them go more crazy than yogurt chips! Does anyone have any good suggestions on treats I can make them? I prefer stuff that's more out of the ordinary since I probably haven't heard of them.

Also, if anyone knows how I can go about making yogurt chips, that would be fantastic, I'm sure my bunnies would appreciate it :)

So I wanted a savory desert that wasn't too bad for an occasional keto treat. I tried Creme Brulee.

I was REALLY craving something sweet and savory, pretty rare. So I decided to find a desert that was as close to keto friendly as possible in its natural form. I didn't use splenda since I don't like artificial sweeteners . I'm not sure how the texture would change by not using sugar. Would be worth a try if you do this yourself.

I used The Alton Brown recipe as a guide. I ended up using

1 cup heavy cream

2 egg yolks

3 tsp sugar

3/4 tsp almond extract

That's it. It filled tow ramekins. I only wanted to make a small batch to test. It was extremely easy to do and came out very very well. I think i should have cooked it a little bit more, or maybe used an extra egg yolk. It was slightly on the thin side, but still had a very smooth, creamy consistency.

Each serving was around 45g fat, 10g sugar, 5g protein. I only ate half of one so really not too bad for a desert if you don't go crazy. Using good almond extract from The Spice House gave it a very good flavor. I probably could get away with using less sugar even. I added a pinch of sugar to burn on top and a sliced almond which maybe added an extra 1 or 2g of sugar.

Before anyone goes crazy with "omg sugar" this is just a very occasional treat and you shouldn't be eating these daily lol. Also I only eat stuff like this on days I play hockey or go running to minimize the effects of sugar.

But it's EXTREMELY easy to make, just takes a little care and time. No pics, since I'm at work. Not much to see anyway. But worth the try if you're craving a tasty treat.

Note: this is not meant to be a 'promo' for oneitis, and this will not work without an abundance mentality anyhow because you won't have the endurance to actually follow through. It's a tactic(?) I have used in various occasions where i ended up digging a chic, had to get out, but couldn't simply carve her out of my life due to circumstances.

I think most of us have all been there; life is swell, we're just cruising through, there is this amazing lady friend in our lives when all of a sudden BOOM. It hits you like a brick. You totally dig her, and you start being sweet on her. or maybe you hook up one drunken night and you can't get it out of your head. What do you do? You make you're move, and tell her you want to take her out on a date. She shoots you down, saying you won't be dating, and you certainly won't have sex (again(because it was just a one time thing!)). You get bummed out, maybe you get a bit passive aggressive and say "alright, that's too bad maybe i'll just take out xyz instead because not spending money on you then." Or you get legitimate pissed off and try to get her to validate you... Ooooor maybe you just get off the phone and sulk for the next week but one thing is sure;

It is really really hard to move, and it is really really hard to just carve them out of your life. So what do you do?

You treat her like a bro.

That's right, stop being sweet on her. Shit, that was probably your biggest mistake in the first place-- getting all sweet on her without being sure she was even into you. So treat her like a bro. Stop picking up all the time when she calls, fail to return her calls once in awhile, do not prioritize her. Stop it. STOOOOPPPP IIIIT. For all intents and purposes she's one of the dudes.

This will do two things; one, it will help you move on with your life, trust me it does. I'm sure there is some sort of psychological explanation for it, but i don't know what it is. Second of all-- if she is even remotely attracted to you, it will drive her up the wall. She'll start wondering why you stopped being so sweet on her, and maybe she'll call you out on it-- to which you simply reply "sweet heart, i'm not your boyfriend."

I did this for the first time in high school with a girl that i was close with and started 'liking'. unable to simply carve her out of my life without my life becomign incredibly awkward due to having 4 out of 6 classes together i started treating her like she was a bro. I stopped being sweet on her, i stopped supporting her emotionally (probably the toughest one to do and the one you will DEFINITELY hear the most shit for; but always remember: you are not her boyfriend, if she wants to be a 'friend' she gets the same treatment as all your friends; you're there for them, but you're not a fucking tear sponge.) bottom line is i STOPPED prioritizing her!!! We hooked up several weeks later before summer and then never spoke to her again(turns out she was a little crazy...) Did the same thing soon after-- there was this chic we started out digging each other hooked up a few times but it never went anywhere. It was PATHETIC. I was so hung up on a girl i never ever dated, to the point that when she said she didn't want to see me anymore in "that capacity" i agreed to be friends. STUPID. STUPID. I watched her date some dude, and all the while i thought i could win her over by being 'super nice to her' thinking-- after all, she has already hooked up with me, clearly there is SOME sort of attraction she just needs to see how cool i am again!. STUUUPPIIIIID. Not only was i fawning after this girl for MONTH'S on end, when i finally got it through my thick head that i lost any and all game and turned into a total AFC i'd been doing it for almost HALF A GODDAMN YEAR. So i decided to go for it. I got shot down. You'd think that'd be that but NOPE. Ever the optimist and stubborn fool that LivetoGeek is, i tried again. And again i got shot down. This happened a few more times until finally i talked to one of the girls from high school (i was in college when this one was going on) and it hit me.

Started treating her like a bro, and moved on with my life. And my friend, when you start treating her like a dude, if she is even remotely attracted to you or was in the past... She is going to be kicking herself hard for having friendzoned you in the first place.

Tl;Dr; If you're hung up on a girl and you can't simply carve her out of your life start treating her like a bro. You'll get over her, and if she even remotely finds you attractive will kick herself for not giving you the shot the moment you get your head out of your ass-- and that alone, is worth the entire thing; it feels pretty good when a girl says to you:"I really wish i'd have given you a shot." and you get to reply:"Yeah, you really missed out. I gotta go, my girlfriends on the other line."

tl;dr you tl;dr; friendzone her right back if you can't just shut her out.

I was thinking that I could reduce the quantity of milk and then add some grated zukes as the veg liquid would compensate for the subtracted milk (I've found info that says for reduced fat purposes you can sub water for milk...this would pretty much be the same idea, right? Although in that case I might use some greek yogurt to pump up the richness a bit..gaaaah I don't know!).

Is the milk doing anything important besides flavor and moisture here that I would render it essential? Would a zucchini/yogurt mixture to attain desired batter consistency do just as well?
