The people over at r/marijuana aren't misguided but they are probably just unaware of the party r/trees is having. I use them both for different reasons though. Mostly news articles and blogs are posted on r/marijuana and when I want to chill I am cruising on trees.

Yeah seriously. I didn't even know there was a trees subreddit (and used to reside at r/marijuana) until I decided to do another search for cannabis related reddits. Happy to have found it though!

In Lord of the Rings they're actually called "Ents," not "treants." Treants are probably named after Ents, though.

I'm glad to see that Trees is growing. I joined Reddit for the community atmosphere and r/trees has gone above and beyond my expectations. I always feel welcomed and the overall vibe is much more enjoyable than some of the other subreddits I've been to.
