What is your price range? IKEA is always my go to store for ideas (and then I check craigslist to see if anyone is selling what I want at a fraction of the cost).
Also check out Walmart. I have yet to go to this particular location myself, but I have been told that the one at Bathurst and Centre Street has a large home furnishings section.

ikea, I get most stuff there, you can take the subway there and get delivery. I've seen stuff at value village that's pretty sweet if your willing to paint it.
