Man United always get the easy draws.
[–]Arsenaljxmitchell 24 points25 points26 points 3 months ago
They get a bye straight into next season's competition! FA bias or what!

BREAKING NEWS
The FA have awarded yesterday’s FA Cup tie to Manchester United, accepting Patrice Evra's claim (after the referee had blown for full time) that his team had in fact scored at least ten goals and not just one. The fact that no players, supporters or officials, nor TV cameras’ were able to confirm the other ten or more goals, did not mean that Mr. Evra's claim was false. When interviewed immediately after the game, the accused Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina admitted conceding one goal. This damning confession was enough to convince the FA panel that he must have conceded the other ten or more as claimed by Mr. Evra. The FA found Mr. Evra to be a very convincing witness on account of the fact that he is such a lovely bloke, has never been in trouble before, and claims to be fluent in several languages. Mr. Reina's testimony on the other hand was found to be totally unreliable in that he is Spanish (and we all know what they are like) and spoke mainly in Spanish through an interpreter. As Mr. Reina had admitted to conceding one goal, the FA panel concluded that the probability was that he had conceded more than one. Mr. Evra would not have been so adamant if he hadn't. The FA has therefore settled on Manchester United winning by a margin of 7 goals to 2 as the true final score. Pepe Reina and Liverpool Football Club have the right to appeal the score within the next 24 hours, but not overturn the defeat. If they do decide to appeal and lose the appeal, they will be immediately kicked out of all FA competitions for the next 8 years.

Reina is such a disgrace to the club and the game. It's disgusting to see the fans and club support Reina on this. And don't even get me started on them wearing Reina t-shirts.ಠ_ಠ

you sir, have won the internetz today.
[–]LiverpoolIhsahn_[S] 7 points8 points9 points 3 months ago
No interesting ones unfortunately, can see no upsets occurring there.
[–]EnglandPerkinator 10 points11 points12 points 3 months ago*
If there is an upset I think it'll be Crawley's doing. Stoke'll be away from home the weekend after a mid-week European fixture. Their record after these European games has been rather poor.
[–]Englandnoches 14 points15 points16 points 3 months ago
Brighton will be tougher than United for us
[–]EnglandPerkinator 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago
I think so only if you're complacent and expect the win just by turning up.
[–]tristanofkiel 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago
This worries me a little bit. But it seems like Liverpool have been taking the cups far more seriously than the league, so hopefully it won't be an issue. edit: Commas, man
[–]Swansea Cityseveredfragile 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago
Liverpool already beat them in the League Cup earlier this season.
[–]Englandnoches 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
I know, I was kidding.
I know, just pointing out that it's the second time they've been drawn together this season.
[–]Manchester Unitedskyman117 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
Not sure if I should laugh...
[–]Stoke Citystratamartin 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago
Because we have hard away games after these European draws lol.
[–]Stoke Cityphazedthedude 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
You mean it'll be Southampton's doing (yep that's right, I just predicted Southampton not only beating Millwall but also Bolton).
[–]Brighton & Hove AlbionBenNiB 5 points6 points7 points 3 months ago
Wait and see matey
[–]Leeds UnitedChive 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago
I reckon Southampton will beat Millwall at St Mary's and are more than capable of beating Bolton there as well.
Birmingham have been on a great run of form- unbeaten in nine- and although it's a big ask to win away at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea haven't been playing particularly well lately and could be surprised. That one's not a foregone conclusion by any means.
[–]BelgiumBryndyn 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
Heh. You wait. We'll fuck up yet
[–]Evertonbrettvirmalo 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago
We are fully capable of delivering your upset.
[–]Englandson_noir 10 points11 points12 points 3 months ago
Liverpool, Everton and Norwich all hosting lower-league opposition at their home ground. I can't see any giant-killing happening this time around. If any premiership clubs are going out, it'll be Bolton.
[–]WorksForMe 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago
Crawley could cause an upset
[–]Englandson_noir 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago
As much as I love Crawley for winning me a shitload of money yesterday, I can't see it happening again.
(And, to save anyone the trouble of asking, yes. I did see last year's FA Cup.)
[–]Tottenham HotspurDiscoBenny 5 points6 points7 points 3 months ago
Didn't you see last years F.A Cup?

[–]Stoke CityCrow_Boy 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
Thats what im scared of
[–]Liverpoolm4rk0551 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago
Not a bad draw for us. Especially at home. Was hoping the other big teams get each other though...
[–]Germanyjoshcandoit4 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
Seriously, I wanted to see us go head to head with Chelsea or Arsenal. I'm sure we will soon enough though. Just hopefully we don't draw Bolton!
[–]Norwich CitySmuckles 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago
I'll take that, could be a slip up but we seem to be taking the FA cup seriously for once.
[–]EnglandPerkinator 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago
Thought Bolton was going to pick up Arsenal / Villa for a moment there. Dodged that bullet. I think we should get a result against Millwall / Southampton.
[–]Norwich CityAlafoss 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
Yes! This is most excellent news.
[–]DC Unitedyourfriendkyle -1 points0 points1 point 3 months ago
Oh game against a League 1 team?
Yes thank you. Maybe Townsend for a brace.
Famous last words...
[–]DC Unitedyourfriendkyle 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
Of course, but seriously. It could be a lot worse than a League 1 team.
Could it? Imagine the shame in losing. Imagine the newspaper headlines.
[–]Newcastle UnitedcroutonZA 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago
Hmm, so Newcastle would've gotten Liverpool at Anfield if they won? Well, that makes me feel better. I mean, we probably would've lost that game so at least this means we play one less game this season allowing us to fully concentrate on the... GAH! Who am I kidding? I would've loved to still be in this competition but we lost...
Hoping Brighton make it far in the competition, we weren't at our best yesterday but they performed brilliantly.
