Dude, i got weighed today and lost 5 pounds from last week. I came home shocked. I was able to move my 25 to a 30 on here and it hit me. For the first time in my life, not just adult life, in my LIFE i'm going to have to buy new clothes a size SMALLER soon. I'm so used to having to buy clothes because i've outgrown my smaller ones but, i'm finally going in the other direction.

I'm going to wait until I hit about 100-125 pounds then i'm going to buy some new clothes.

Congratulations and keep at it. I've noticed that it gets easier. Make that weight your bitch!

Isn't it strange when you find that missing medical piece? For years I didn't know I was hypersensitive to wheat. It was only through about 6 years of clueless doctors and atkins/keto experiments that I finally figured it out. I know how you feel. I'm optomistic that I can do it this time!

Absolutely! The difference between feeling stupid and weak to feeling empowered and capable! It's awesome :)

How is your confidence helping? What other things are you doing? Btw I know exactly how it feels to feel like you can FINALLY lose weight, after years and years of struggling.

Well, before I was diagnosed with PCOS and Insulin resistance I didn't know that the types of diets most people have success with were practically poisoning me. (low cal, low fat, lots o' carbs, etc.). So I would work harder than anyone I knew for months on end, walking, jogging, eating 1200 calories a day, and I'd lose 5-10 lbs in half a year or a year. then I'd get frustrated and give up. Nothing I was doing made any difference, so why kill myself? I ate whatever I wanted, and gained even more weight.

Finally, years later I've pushed myself into pre-diabetes. Now I have that official info, meds to regulate my sugar, and the key to HOW my body uses food. I stay away form sugar, bread, pasta, rice and potatoes, exercise 30 min a day (give or take) and the weight is finally coming off.

So, the confidence in knowing that what I do actually finally WILL make a difference to my health means I can stick to a "diet" or really more accurately I can change my lifestyle and not be frustrated!
