I'm so glad that has its own name.

In the episode where Shirley gets pantsed by Pierce which leads to him being kicked out temporarily, the group collapses on each other because of the absence of their "lightning rod" to absorb all of their abuse. I think the group will fall into this funk again since he's gone and bring in Chang temporarily to be their new Pierce.

Also, I can see the group trying to hook up Vicky and Fat Neil.

Regardless, I want more Vicky stories, if only to recreate the moment where she led a charge by shouting her own name.

I felt like Jeff's father issues were sort of abandoned after "Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking", so I'd like to see those explored a bit more. Bonus points if Paul Bettany plays a half-brother Jeff never knew he had.

I'd like to seem some cool classes/professors such as professor professorson, and professor whitman. Also some resolution on professor slater.

An episode which parodies a standard season 1 episode, starring everyone but the main cast, would be cool. Just to show that community has a spirit beyond that of the main cast. Everyone from the group eats some bad cookies, gets sick, and a problem arises in their group class for the third season, and the 'substitute' characters have to step up to the roles jeff and co would normally do, and make them their own.

Starburns starts wearing a monocle.

annie starts a job tutoring.

The follow up to several plots, i.e. Jeff doing consultancy work with the firm, Troy playing football (and where that leads).'

After the events of the finale, the dean is put on an admin warning, and an administrator is brought in, overseeing things. (I'd like this just to get a cool hand luke reference in there). This would also make a good anti-britta antagonist, personifying the 'man', and providing an outlet for her usual joke-worthy personal liberty statements. He would interrupt jeffs speeches, make abed get worse, out-racist pierce.

A season long-antagonist, not relegated to a few episodes.

Being a girl, I'm getting real fatigued of Annie-heavy episodes. I think the boob jokes are a little tired now as well. This has got to be the most unpopular opinion on this board, but honestly I just feel alienated as a female viewer. I'd like to see Britta flushed out a bit as I really liked her at first then she faded into the background and became Lisa Simpson.

I totally agree. Annie's great and undisputedly hot, but at this point, Britta's become the underdog and I want to see her get more attention on the show.

This is a good question and the suggestions here all make sense. But I have to say, I actually feel pretty confused about Community and where it is going now. I feel that season 1 had a pretty strong narrative and I liked it's overall direction. But season 2 felt a bit drifty at times and while there were some stand out episodes, I felt like they went over-the-top a few times and it was hard to really pull together threads of what was going on. From a more superficial view, I feel that they've completed the Jeff/Britta arc and Jeff/Annie as well. Maybe I'm just a sucker for it, but I like having a bit of sexual tension around so I'd like to see them do something with that.

I think that they might spend the next few episodes trying to get Pierce back. The group might realize after his speech just how jerky they've been too which results in general character improvements?

I think there is a danger to introducing too many guest stars as it would start to feel a bit like SNL or something to me. I felt the strongest episodes this past season were group focused bottle episodes, but maybe that was just in contrast to the very wacky episodes that preceded or succeeded them.

After managing to pull off a fake clip show, it'd be interesting to see if they could pull off a fake crossover episode. Probably a dumb idea, but it's something that you see in shows every once on a while, and accomplishing that successfully would cement the shows status as one of the most brilliant sitcoms ever

To help further a discussion, I'm going to list some unresolved plots that come to mind. Feel free to add any that I miss.

  • Rich's possible mentorship of Jeff
  • Jeff's father
  • Jeff's work for his old firm
  • Annie's financial independence
  • Britta's financial stability
  • Pierce's status with the group/at Greendale
  • Chang's status with the group/at Greendale/his wife
  • Troy's position as quarterback
  • Troy's living situation
  • Shirley's marriage post-pregnancy
  • Abed's girlfriend, if that wasn't a one-off
  • Where in the world is Professor Slater? Or Whitman?

Other way around, he says fixiating, and the word is fixating.
