I feel like Jeff and Annie is all about the looks. There's some kind of forbidden fruit thing going on there, and a lot of people are digging on it. I don't really object to it, but I definitely don't see how those two being together makes any sense, and I certainly hope we don't see the show catering to this ship any more. Their relationship, practically, is the height of what britta and Jeff achieved at the beginning of last season. Jeff is a screw up, Annie is his conscience, chemistry and sparks ensue. And thats about it.

I'm not saying Jeff and Britta is that much better, but at least their relationship has more dimensions now that Britta stopped being jeff's conscience. Case in point, the episode Shirley gives birth. Jeff and Brittas bonding moment was one of the more genuine ones this season. And that's saying something because Britta's been on pretty much comic relief duty all season long.

I'm not shipping anyone, and I hope the show doesn't try to force it down our throats. They should keep it natural, and let the chemistry happen naturally.

I completely agree with your sentiment. Jeff/Annie for me feels a bit forced now. I believe on the DVD commentary for Season 1 DH said that they unlocked some magic after the debate episode, which is true, and I'm glad they ran with it for a while. However, the last 1/3 of the episodes in season 2 has made me feel that everyone in the Community world (i.e. the characters) start to see now that there isn't much there. I feel like there have also been some pretty clear sentiments from the characters (Jeff saying it's complicated, that Annie is reading in to things too much, J/B secretly hooking up all this time) that J/A isn't really going to or shouldn't happen.

I've always been a fan of Britta and I feel that her character has yo-yo'd a lot but that it's been a good thing. She and Jeff do fit pretty well, not that they'd make each other better people, but they have good chemistry.

I like Jeff/Annie because then I can have Britta.
Dang! I knew I would mess up this maturity thing.

All of you have it wrong. Jeff/Dean/Garrett. They'll ignore Jeff's massive forehead.

Jeff/Annie, but only because Annie is an obvious stand-in for myself as a fellow big-busted Jewish brunette.

I'm against any pairings between central cast members. I'm against romance in this show in general, except as an occasional side dish. I want wacky hijinks and genre homages/parodies for my main course.

Jeff/Britta.

Jeff and Britta deserve each other, with both having a good side and an overjudgemental unhappy side.

Annie can do better.

I feel like in season three, there will be a love triangle thing with Jeff, Troy, Annie, and Britta.

But ultimately, it's going to be Jeff/Britta and Annie/Troy. But that's just my opinion.

I know I'm not the only one to find the Jeff/Annie thing to be creepy. I love the characters, and it makes sense for the younger girl to be crushing on the older dude, but that's still just weird and mildly predatory for Jeff.

Personally, I'd like to see Abed-playing-Don-Draper/Annie.

Yeah, Annie can do better. She's almost like Jeff's little sister and when they introduce that subplot it felt like incest from day one.

Britta makes more sense, even if it's just a sex thing.

I truly feel that when it's all said and done, we'll have Jeff/Britta and Troy/Annie.

But not yet. We might have another bought of Jeff/Annie and hopefully a Troy/Britta hookup before we get there.

Amber or Michelle > Britta or Annie.

Some of the guest / recurring characters are a better fit for Jeff than the regulars. Amber is just as scheming and corrupt as Jeff - their chemistry would be effortless, so long as they're on the same side. And then Michelle would be perfect if Jeff grows up and matures somewhat.
