My guy uses Joop Jump. I hated it when we first met. Now it's my favourite smell.

I guess the moral there is it's not so much the scent that matters as what you associate with the scent, Pavlov-style.

My favorites have always been Old Spice Extreme Sport and Calvin Klein's Contradiction. Those two scents in combination with an untucked white button up, jeans, and Chuck Taylors take me down like a tranquilizer dart, but every girl is different.

My favorites

Brit by Burberry

Armani Code by Armani

Both of these are unquestionably good :D

Acqua di Gio is always a safe bet. That, and Boss by Hugo Boss.

I like either no fragrance, or Old Spice Aqua Reef deodorant (blue deodorant in a red container). I dunno why, but that one gets to me.

I suggest you only wear a fragrance if it is really formal. Like Solaro says, natural scent is best. I would maybe suggest just a tad of deodarant from time to time. I think maybe some women will agree: too much of a scent (especially old spice in my eyes) can be overkill and turn a girl away.

NO FRAGRANCE.

Girls are attracted to men's natural smells. This has been scientifically verified again and again. Don't buy the crap that you need fragrance to attract the opposite sex.

Agreed. Just be clean and wear antiperspirant/deodorant that works for you.

I would agree with this but not for initial appeal. Sometimes I break my neck checking out the guy who just walked by who smells like "Man". BUT once you are dating someone, cuddling in bed or something, you really don't want to be reeking of scent.

Untrue in my experience. Using a scent that compliments the way you smell is quite powerful for both sexes.

Theres no need to drown the way you smell, just a little works wonders.

I enjoy my boy's very natural scent. However, I'm a very big fan of what his aftershave smells like and occasionally when we go out he'll wear the cologne I bought him as a gift. I got him Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue if anybody's interested.

My boyfriend just received some delicious smelling Quicksilver cologne for his birthday, I love it :)

I like Royale Muske and Dunhill. Don't really care for Old Spice, though.

Definitely something that's fresh, not too heavy but also not overpowering of their own lovely man-smell. My boyfriend wears ultraviolet man by paco rabanne and I love it :3

I will mosey on into this thread to ask if any ladies have smelled Tom Ford and if so, if they liked it. It's my current favorite. I can't use scented deodorant (allergic to something, but if it has scent I get a terrible itch) and I sweat like a pig so I use unscented anti-perspirant and a spritz or two of Tom Ford (on my clothes, because fragance can make me itch too).

I know of no one else that wears it and I haven't found a local retailer, so at least I am unique, but I find the fragrance to be sublime to my tastes. I'd love 2X's opinion.

I wear Issey Miyake. One of my female friends got it for me for my birthday a year or so ago. It does wonders :)

My guy wears Old Spice and I love it. My ex-boyfriend wore it, too. My dad wore it when him and my mom met. Yes, natural scent is very important. But it's the natural scent mixed with those fragrances that's the most attractive to me.

My boyfriend wears Old Spice and something else, Preferred Stock I think? Smells good on him. I don't particularly want my guy to smell like anything other than what he wants to smell like.

Just find a nicely scented soap and use that.

I really don't like cologne on my boyfriend. I bought him a stack of Lush - Ice Blue Soap for his birthday and those smell great on his skin, but cologne would be too much. I like to smell my man's smell, not his chemical bath.

Man here. I highly recommend: http://www.amouage.com/

They do several scents. Get some samples if you can, and find one that suits you. Everyone is different, and not everyone smells the same way wearing the same scent. Dont drown yourself in it, just a little on your lower neck will do.

I've found women are generally good at letting you know when you're wearing something they like; but less good at informing when its something they dont like. Theres going to be some trial and error invovled, so when you find something that you are told suits you, as well as liking it yourself, stick with it.
