I've been working for an SEO company based in UK and they use many paid SEO tools. The best of them all is Link Research Tools, I use it for competitor's analysis and in order to look for juicy sites where I could place a link. There are many other tools within the package, though.

Here's a review on Link Research Tools » http://searchengineland.com/link-building-tool-review-link-research-tool-set-by-cemper-87235

I built http://serpIQ.com to compete with the big boys when it comes to competition analysis and research. Feel free to reach out if you have questions, you can also try it for free (not a gimmick, just plain ol' free)

I just cancelled my free trial of seo moz pro... I guess I wasn't using it to it's maximum potential, but it just didn't seem that amazing to me. What's so amazing about it?

Depending on what your goals are, their tools are actually pretty awesome. Are you working for/on consumer sites or what? Cause if it's a competitive vertical, their link reports on urls/domains are pretty extensive. Out of date, but extensive.

Seomoz pro has a great array of tools. The most used tool is to check backlinks for competitor sites for link building opportunities. Does far better than yahoo (which i also use)

A lot of their data is out of date. The benefit of their community's pretty big, though, although it seems that everyone here (this is my first time around these parts) is actually pretty knowledgable.

scrapebox. Even for "white" hat link building it's great for finding decent places to build links at.

oh yeah. or any sort of data collection you need to do. a bit of a learning curve, but you feel like the master of the internet once you figure it out.

Yep, in my opinion scrapebox is the greatest SEO tool out there now. You can do a ton of blackhat/shady stuff with it, but as far as keyword research/finding link targets, it's invaluable. You can get a promo code at scrapebox.com/cheapskate

Give Raven Tools a shot, I've recently been working with it and it's great.

I guess I'll have to give Raven a try :)

You'll find it's good, I know they pull the database from SEOmoz but it's a lot easier to use. I've been running social media for my company lately and they've passed me raven tools to analyze/post with. The SEO guy loves it and he's pretty good.

Awesome. I will sign up for their free trial because I've read about its features and it seem to be really good. Thanks for the recommendation!

I do SEO for a properties company, to say the least competition can be a walk in the park at best, or a cut throat competition. To help me on this I use the following: [+]Raventools [+]Wordtracker.com [+]SEOMoz [+]SEOPower Suite (Free or Pro are both Gold) [+]Opensiteexplorer After reading this post I'd have to say that I really want to check out Ontolo.com

Market Samurai is pretty damn amazing for analyzing keyword data.

Raventools and SEOMOZ are much more expensive than my expectation, it is not fit for small biz,Try this instead: http://www.acoolme.com/opsysofto/web/SERPHistoryWithCompetitor?runMode=demo

each tracking is just a penny.
