I'll never understand why people get their thrills from marking up another person's property.

that I'm looking for him

So... tell him that gnvthrowaway is looking for him?

Well, Gainesville PD, who this almost certainly is. Not that they will admit it, or honestly, that I mind. Fuck these guys. There is a massive GPD manhunt for taggers going on the entire month. Large parts of the budget have been redirected for the investigation. Twig, Eternity and LSD among others have already been arrested, some as felony burglary arrests, and they are supposedly hot on the trail of Meeow, who apparently is tagging in West Palm as well.

More from today's paper: http://www.gainesville.com/article/20120124/ARTICLES/120129777/1182?p=1&tc=pg

Meeow pisses me off. I know the guy, and he's an annoying piece of shit. That type of "graffiti" is complete rubbish. He needs about a year of practice on a drawing pad before throwing that bullshit around town. Quantity over quality.

P.S. I would turn him in in a heartbeat.

Well, cops are looking for him. Hit up a payphone if you feel that strongly. I had to use the non-emergency line to coordinate a black friday event for a friend's store. 955-1818

I like all the kittens with top hats. Makes me feel like Banksy is following me.

His tags are mostly around 2nd Ave leading up to Jefferson.

you don't say...

Milk literally has tags all down second ave and 2nd's cross streets and down 4th ave. But on 2nd ave around jefferson he is literally on the back (sometimes the front) of every sign. While walking to school i started to pay attention (after reading this post) and you can't walk 2 feet without being able to spot one. its nuts. theres also a guy named Wig and a guy named Goof that tag all around there.

The OP is right though. I hope GPD gets him cause he's literally everywhere. i saw meeow in certain places, but milk is crazy.

I saw one he did on a building on university that was ridiculous. he did it on like their front door in what looked like a white paint pen.

Idk, it does annoy me though. I feel bad for the people that have to clean it off their property just cause some kid wants to play a game.

See it all the time, usually laugh at it; Oh no, everything isn't a solid color anymore! What a terrible thing

[–]imdjguy 0 points1 point ago

p.s. i dont think he'd mark his own place...

Ive seen some of the ones that have been crossed out. It wasnt that much. He/she just circled the milk tag and drew a line through it. I still see a ton that are just regular milk tags though. He seriously is everywhere.

I actually live in jefferson and theres one in the elevator, on a generator outside, and in the parking garage. I see them everywhere too.

Bring him down!

I'm moreso sick of the shitty cube guy downtown. That actually looks pretty good.

[–]jessicadives -1 points0 points ago

You know what graffiti I really hate? I mean, it really pisses me off. The cave paintings of Lascaux. They're so stupid. Bunch of horses running around. Wtf...

[–]rightc0ast 0 points1 point ago

At best, an entire community would have basically "commissioned" the work, but it's probably more like a home than a public square. So you've compared people, ancient people but people nonetheless, who paint an interior wall of their home, to this? It's absurd. Even for those of us who agree with you, it's absurd when thought about dispassionately.

[–]jessicadives 1 point2 points ago

Right? I was being really really facetious with my initial comment.

[–]oldhousesaver 0 points1 point ago*

I don't like any graffiti. I think it makes downtown look like a slum, and newcomers and others will have a lower opinion about it. It makes the downtown experience less enjoyable. The cave paintings are art and are no comparison to graffiti. If people feel the need to write on walls etc, that is what the 34th Street wall is for. Also, there is the Doris for people who want to be creative.

[–]jessicadives 0 points1 point ago

How can you say one is art and the other one isn't? They're both man leaving his mark on the world, one wall at a time.

[–]reddjoey 0 points1 point ago

While all art is subjective, I will offer my $.02.

The cave paintings might have been graffiti, but might have been something greater or lesser. It's the mystery the bring and fact that it cannot be replaced that makes it special. I'm sure in year 20000 if GNV still has these tags it will likely be looked at similarly.

[–]wickedtoaster 0 points1 point ago

I just see no artistic value in someone tagging their alias. It literally says nothing and its just an annoyance. It literally just causes pain for peoples property.

[–]josephbikes -4 points-3 points ago

You must have something plugged up your ass if writing on a wall can make your day "less enjoyable."
