DotA2 videos for HoN Players

The reason why Lions stun is bigger is that the path is 25 units bigger and i think dota version uses triggered aoe that checks for the center of hero instead of the normal aoe that basically uses unit selection circle. Same for sand king.

Kinda dislike this style of videos, you cant really focus on both talking and playing at the same time.

I'm not sure why I enjoyed that video because I'm an experienced Dota player (never got into HoN or LoL) so very little of the information given was new to me but it very enjoyable nonetheless, nice work.

Although a better method would probably be to focus on some things in particular, like people said this felt unorganized.

I don't think that most of former HoN players (myself included) will have problems moving from HoN to DOTA2, because somehow everybody there has learnt that heroes and items come from DotA (people calling Plague Rider Lich instead of his true name, using DotA terms to name HoN stuff).

Hey nigma. I like your attitude to vids and teaching players. I catch your stream when I can. Does comely have dota2 beta access?

It absolutely feels like I am playing underwater but after 5 games or so I got through it too.

I find myself playing HoN exclusive heroes in HoN and DotA exclusive heroes in DotA a lot.

I actually prefer witch slayer over lion because I have the pimp slayer skin. Also, the normal witch slayer skin is a huge improvement over a 'demon warlock witch thing'.

EDIT: TP is waaay longer in dota. It really screws with you the first few times and messes up some juking attempts.

playdota.com has all the info they should need, not to mention that HoN is 70% copied from DotA to begin with.

Pretty sloppy compared to your past work. I know you're trying to be casual about it but i just get an unorganized botched feeling to this video: coughing, uhm, distracted by playing. Damn, dude.

and Soul Ring would be blood chalice of Dota. edit: Urn gives you 2 charges if the urn is currently empty, and 1 charge if it already has charges

You're like that Lion/WS that every good player kind of dislikes having on their team -- the one who ults to finish, taking kills/creeps from antimage...

Not entirely useless or annoying, but could play their role much better.

Missed opportunities: Tower mechanics (regen, last hitting siege creeps) Bottle mechanics (ferrying, runes and rune spawn) Items (tip for hon players: if you don't know what an item is, the price is usually the same or at least close) Auto-Attack (disabled in HoN, optional in Dota 2) Neutral Creeps (stacking and pulling)

Console commands, guides and other online resources, hold vs stop, ability key mapping (some heroes of 5+ abilities), and that kind of thing would be nice to see in the next one.

Glad to see Nigma on the Dota 2 train. I bet Comely would have some helpful insights as well.

I think u should talk about those small differences that are between HoN and Dota, what do you like more what less. For example Vengdul spirit and Pudge cant use blink dagger. In HoN they switched melee and ranged barracks. There are a lot of things like that I looking forward to see your next video, keep going with good work.

Watched the first 8 minutes and you didn't say a single thing of what is different in dota2 coming from hon. You talked quite a bit of how things were different in dota2 from dota1, but that is not what you claimed the video was about.
