Number 9 from Jimmy Johns (Italian Capicola, Salami, hot peppers, vinegar, spices, with salt & vinegar chips...oh man ! I can feel the heart attack !

magusg 5 points6 points 4 months ago[-]

That sounds like a bitchin' case of heartburn that would be totally worth it.

Nopis10 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

wow exact same sub jalapeno chips.

foiz5000 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

I put Fritos on the Turkey Tom, but that sounds good and I wouldn't have to get my chips elsewhere.

[deleted] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

forgetting the pepperoni you son of a bitch??

mayoroftuesday 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

This is my favorite meal. I am not alone.

ElectricLiberty 37 points38 points 4 months ago[-]

And french fries in the milkshake.

strawcat 13 points14 points 4 months ago[-]

mmm, i only ever do it with frosty's from wendy's for some reason though.

dkramer73 4 points5 points 4 months ago[-]

French fries and chocolate shake. Fuck ya!

7ypo 9 points10 points 4 months ago[-]

You're disgusting. Go for french fries in your hamburger.

Extra ketchup is imperative.

mikemcg 12 points13 points 4 months ago[-]

I can top that. In elementary school, when we had our pizza days, I'd wrap my pepperoni pizza around my chocolate glazed donut and eat it like that.

I didn't have any friends.

thebeefytaco 12 points13 points 4 months ago[-]

D:

natedagr811 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Pizza with ranch dressing in elementary school was delish.

mikemcg 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

It still is! Ranch dressing is pretty much ranch dipping sauce.

dkramer73 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

French fries on burger. Fuck ya!

rchase 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Onion rings on a Whopper with the zesty sauce is gustatory nirvana.

iaregalado 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

That was my exact reaction when I was told about this. Few days later I tried it, wendy's frosty + french fries is actually not that bad. It's never my first choice, but it's alright.

KaylaS 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I always do this.

[deleted] 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

French fries dipped in soft serve at Maccas. Oh God no wonder I was so fat as a kid.

ImLosingTheGame 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Sprite and cheerios was pretty good.

Kweasel 4 points5 points 4 months ago[-]

You people are monsters

lebowskiachiever 27 points28 points 4 months ago[-]

Yes, yes and yes. Actually, edit that: FUCK yes. God, yes. Yes. Makes a sandwich and puts chips in it Bloody yes.

everythinginvalid 5 points6 points 4 months ago[-]

My sentiments exactly. Upvotes granted.

roark7 4 points5 points 4 months ago[-]

You can give more than one?!

rockstar_wannabe -1 points0 points 4 months ago[-]

yes ... and pretzels in my tuna fish sandwiches

lebowskiachiever 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Interesting. I'll have to try that one.

baddox 9 points10 points 4 months ago[-]

That's one of those things that I've done a handful of times and love it every time. However, I rarely think of it while in a situation to make it possible.

seanwall 6 points7 points 4 months ago[-]

Is there any other way?

HippieOutOfHell 11 points12 points 4 months ago[-]

My girlfriend puts them in her PB&J.

Eoif77 8 points9 points 4 months ago[-]

Fritos on a toasted PB&J. perfect.

kha3 3 points4 points 4 months ago[-]

I thought this said PJs and wondered why no one else thought it was weird :]

mrdelayer 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I put chips inside my sandwiches while in my PJs. I don't care what anyone else thinks, either.

dmurphy04 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

Last year, I bought peanut butter & jelly & chips flavored chocolate candies from Trader Joes!

INCREDIBLE awesomeness. Pretty unhealthy nutritional stats, though.

PB&J are sandwiched between milk and dark chocolate then sprinkled with crushed potato chips. Potato chips? Yes, crisp, delicious potato chips. This means you have it all - sweet and salty; smooth and crunchy. Lucky you!

http://www.candyblog.net/blog/item/trader_joes_pb_j_bar/

Tragicflaw 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

I do that! It adds crunchiness without disrupting the flavor.

Menace2Sobriety 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Been doing this since I was a little kid.

rtwpsom2 11 points12 points 4 months ago[-]

No, but I occasionally like to put crisps in my sandwich.

z3rb 6 points7 points 4 months ago[-]

Indeed, it's called a crisp butty.

rtwpsom2 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Only up north. :P

bitsandbobs 4 points5 points 4 months ago[-]

mhm yes walkers prawn cocktail!

ElliotofHull 5 points6 points 4 months ago[-]

THANKYOU. I also have CRISP sandwichs. CHIPS I put gravy on.

rtwpsom2 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I like a little ketchup and mayonaise on them (ever since watching Pulp Fiction).

theartfuldodgr 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

I don't know about other places but where I'm from (North East US), there is a difference between a potato chip and crisp. A chip is literally slices of potato that have been fried, ie. Lays, Herrs, Wise. A crisp is similar to a chip but is formed from a potato mash/mixture with other ingredients involved, ie. Pringles, Munchos.

rtwpsom2 4 points5 points 4 months ago[-]

Nah, brother, you got it all backwards, A crisp is a thin slice of potato and a chip is a long, thick, square or "french" cut piece of potato. Next thing you know, you'll be calling a biscuit a "cookie" or something.

mayoroftuesday 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

The fuck is a crisp?

rtwpsom2 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

It's the proper name for a thin slice of potato that has been either baked or oil cooked until it is crispy.

mayoroftuesday 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

You some kin'a for'ner?

rtwpsom2 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

No I was born here.

mayoroftuesday 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Liar! You were born there. Admit it!

rakantae 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I prefer regular chips to Pringles.

quiznex 4 points5 points 4 months ago[-]

I usually put fries inside my hamburgers. I do not do chips inside a sandwich even though its basically the same thing. But, nom, nom, nom, fries inside a hamburger. DELICIOUS!

rockstar_wannabe 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I saw one of my friends do this recently and I have to say - GENIUS!

strawcat 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

and i'm the opposite. i LOVE chips in a sandwich, but it never occurred to me to put fries on a burger! thanks for the idea, i'll have to try it.

NewAgeNeoHipster 4 points5 points 4 months ago[-]

I put Doritos into them. It's delicious.

AmosYoder 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Turkey breast, swiss cheese, nacho Doritos, ketchup.

NewAgeNeoHipster 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

You had me up until ketchup.

Does that taste good?

meismariah 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

yup. red doritos with peanut butter. soo good. once in a room full of people i said that and got the funniest reaction. everyone said ew and gasped at the same time. i was like what? it's good!

JIMMY JOHN'S VEGGIE ON WHEAT WITH BARBECUE CHIPS

i just had that tonight. i LOVE their BBQ chips. mmmmm...

Ill_Logic 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

Fat guy lettuce.

JackAndJulz 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

I can't eat sandwiches D= DAMN YOU GLUTEN INTOLERANCE!!~

Well.. I can.. But I have to use special bread that tastes like cardboard.

foiz5000 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I feel your pain. I just eat regular bread anyway because that other stuff is awful. I just don't eat it very often and I'm ok.

It's a pain because they put bread/wheat on/in every damn thing these days.

nagha 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Do you have coeliac? If so, you might feel okay, but exposure to gluten can increase your risk of a GI lymphoma :S, not to mention impair absorption of stuff like vitamin B12 which can make you anaemic.

foiz5000 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

From what I can tell I have all the symptoms but I've never been diagnosed. I eat bread my guts (intestinal area, lower right area from my own perspective) swells, so I skip it when I can. Oddly enough it didn't develop until I had a car accident that required seeing a chiropractor.

I guess I should worry more about it...

JackAndJulz 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I know right.. I was drinking raspberry flavored Lipton iced tea the other day.. GUESS WHAT, its flavoring contains wheat. What the fuck?

foiz5000 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

WTF... r/conspiracy

iqlc 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

Yes .. I enjoy it particularly with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Pretzels are also an awesome alternative.

JayceMJ 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I've never thought of doing that... I hope I have some jam at home.

plaidsocks 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

In England they're called crisp sandwiches. Heavenly noms - I like mine with a bit of butter and original crisps. They are also good in pita bread!

entmike 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

In my house, this is the only way to make a sandwich.

YourAnMoran 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

WHAT THE FUCK MAN

lowmigx3 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

I put cheetos on mine and yup, always get funny looks. Problem? - is all i say!

a couple days ago, i had a sandwich down on the beach at primanti bros. Roast beef and cheese, packed with coleslaw and french frys. damn, that was a good sandwich

Nigba 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

i came to this thread looking for someone to mention primanti bros.

winemaster 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

i use miss vickies salt and vinegar or all dressed (i think only the canadians will get that one). classic.

molly23 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

I DO NOW.

janemohr 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Not potato chips but sun chips. it's the best!

damn_bug 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

hell ya! try honey nut cheerios in your PB&J or PB& Nutella

snailboy 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

What kind of sandwich are we talking here?

omgChubbs [S] 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Usually a simple ham and cheese (ungrilled).

But the possibilities are limitless!

snailboy 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

Oh man... what if you did grill it?

omgChubbs [S] 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

I get the feeling that the meltyness of the cheese would remove the crunch of the chip.

Maybe if you arranged the sandwich so that the chips are located between the ham and the bread, segregated from the cheesy goodness.

Hrmm... Maybe its time to fire up the toaster oven.

bluesparrow 2 points3 points 4 months ago[-]

In this situation, you have to grill it first and then place the chips in the sandwich individually as you eat it, kind of by sticking in from the edge. I just did this today, and it worked spectacularly.

learycm 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

I routinely put chips (BBQ are good too) inside sandwiches like cheesesteaks, as long as you put the chips in there one or two bites at a time you still get the crunch and it is quite delicious.

highTrolla 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Hot dogs biotch,

a potato chip sandwich

dkramer73 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

My favorite sandwich to apply potato chips to is a tuna salad sandwich. This has been a habit for 30 years now.

mikewoodld 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Best sandwich:

Subway - Turkey and Bacon on Flatbread with a sprinkle of Mozzarella cheese wrapped with crumbled blue (original) Sunchips.

[deleted] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Negative. Peanut Butter and Jelly with cheetos inside, oh god.

kaeganxc 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

ohhhhhh ready for this. either tuna sandwiches with fritos or if I'm feeling real saucy sometimes American chop on a bulkie roll with spicy doritos on top and then top bun. mmmmm

[deleted] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Sunchips. Can't go wrong!

wonderland01 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Bobby Flay has built a while burger chain around it: BBP

He has copyrighted the word "crunchified" btw

jollycrapper 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I also put peanut butter on carrots when i'm eating celery. I also sprinkle garlic powder or garlic salt on top of the peanut butter.

duinn 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

"Crisp" sandwiches are a well known snack here in Ireland, if you really want the perfect sandwich you gotta get yourself some Cheese & Onion flavour preferably Tayto or King I'm eating a tayto crisp sandwich right now and fuck is it good!

omgChubbs [S] 1 point2 points 4 months ago[-]

I was actually born in Dublin, and all my family are in Belfast! I guess thats where I've picked up the habit.

I haven't had a bag of Tayto Cheese and Onion in proabably 7 years now... I'd do just about anything to find some Tayto crisps in Canada... SOOOO GOOOD!

Dammit. Now I want some!

duinn 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I lived in Toronto 2 summers ago, I remember the pain! I had some friends bring over a big pack when they came over but it wasn't enough....

arnedh 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

No, but I used to put them in omelets. Try it, it's wonderful.

missthang 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I thought I was the only one! I love the crunch!

SquareWheel 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I do if I have no lettuce.

Kpmstf 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

AH FUCK THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH GOT CUT BY A SHARP POTATO CHIP IN MY SOFT SANDWICH

bubblieskittles 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

YES!!! well, kinda. The chips makes the sandwich (literally, bread and chips). Sour cream and onions are the best in sandwiches!!! Or the Sweet Maui Hawaiian Kettle Styled Potato Chips in a nice meaty sandwich with bbq sauce! YUM-O!!!

vampiricrogu3 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I do it because it adds salt. Especially when I get an Italian sub/grinder/hero/hoagie/Italian sandwich/po' boy/wedge/zep/torpedo/bocadillo/roll And their isn't any salt on it.

jamesyorkdrake 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

sun chips on a peanut butter & nutella sandwich are so good.

Etab 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

TrainDefecator 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Yes. I also have discovered that cooking up hashbrowns and putting them into grilled ham and cheese sandwiches is awesome.

samiyeski 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

FREAKS!

manata 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Veggie sandwich from Subway with the Jalapeño potato chips inside. single tear rolls down cheek

selsper 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I didn't realise that people don't put crisps in their sandwiches. =[

Zanius 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

All the time!

rugbysuperstar 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Holy shit i'm tired of this one. It only get's posted every week!

greatestactoralive 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I fashioned what I consider the perfect sandwich, which goes as follows:

  • 1/5 Pound Shredded Buffalo Chicken
  • 2 Slices Pepperjack Cheese
  • 1 Slice American Cheese
  • Dill Relish
  • Fresh Jalapeno Pepper slices
  • Spicy Nacho Doritos
  • Jalapeno Mustard

I've found that the crunch provided by the chips and jalapenos is definitely awesome, just gotta make sure I eat it before the mustard makes the chips soggy.

rawrrrrr 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

And crispy french fries in sandwiches too as others have said already.

breddy 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

My wife got me putting a layer of Doritos in my Subway tuna sub. Pretty damn tasty.

[deleted] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Pretty common practice in Brazil (with batata palha).

I'm glad you are finally experiencing real life.

kwyjibohunter 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

sometimes I'll change my mind about making a sandwich if I don't have chips to put on it

omgChubbs [S] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Agreed. Its just not the same with them.

[deleted] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

downvoted because it's gross

Smashure 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Ham and cheese, with mayo and mustard, and in between? a layer of sour cream and onion pringles, and a layer of tomato basil wheat thins.

It's just divine.

plexxonic 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Oh hell yes.

lolipopfailure 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Peanut Butter and Jelly with cheetos inside, oh god.

Ham & Cheese sandwich with Steak flavour crisps - yum!

ltjboy03 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Fries on the burger and chips on the hot dog.

foiz5000 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Jimmy John's turkey tom with Fritos.... fucking amazing.

jaap424 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Whenever i see potato chip sandwiches referenced i tell myself i have to try it, and now i finally did. Wheat bread with ham and plain salted chips is kind of disgusting.

I'm not sure if wheat is the correct description, is it actually brown bread or just white bread with something added to make it look darker?

PurpleDingo 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I put sandwiches inside my sandwiches, because that's how I roll.

bapppppppppp 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Try Catfood

celticagent 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Or corn chips

ILikeAppleJuice 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Yeah dude. It's all about the texture.

I only do it to thin sandwiches...meaning sandwiches with white bread or whole wheat bread, never french bread or stuff like that. Chips get lost in that shit.

2_of_8 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I once made this: melted cheddar cheese, topped with warmed up (frying pan) hot dogs, and sprinkled chips on top. It was amazing, and it was worthy of the heart attack site.

meean 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce sandwich with Kettle chips. Damn.

everythinginvalid 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

People of Reddit: put pepper in your ketchup and dip those mutherfucking fries. Rolls around in bliss

leinaht 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

The only way to do it is to break the chips into smaller pieces, the work them into your hamburger meat before cooking.

[deleted] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

yeah it adds some texture up in that bitch

warmpita 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

(Teriyaki) Yakisoba and Mashed Potatoes.

eiketsujinketsu 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Indeed we do, all up in this nation.

bkbeezy 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Mmmmm yes. Otherwise it's too meaty; it needs the salt and crunch.

And everyone thinks it's weird so they make fun of me :(

drwired 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

around here (St. Louis area) there is a brand of chips called 'old vienna st louis style hot sauce' bbq chips. they are so hot, my family calls them Rape chips because they will rape your mouth. they are excellent on a sandwich.

Beelkeel 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

And I put fries in my burgers.

monosyllabix 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I make potato chip sandwiches! With pita bread.

goombastic 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I used to do it all the time with tuna. I realized the sandwich would just crush the chips before I ate it, so now i just take a bite and then stuff my face with some chips. Works better IMHO.

SmartAssX 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

PBJ is great with laze lol.

wtmh 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I don't but my cousin does this. She swears by it.

[deleted] 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Pretty much every sandwich is better when crunchy. Except, like, jelly sandwiches... maybe.

I will have to test this.

Icouldbeanyone 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I put sour cream and onion on turkey and ham sammiches. After reading this thread, im going to try salt and vinegar tomorrow!

ToddPacker -1 points0 points 4 months ago[-]

Doesn't the sour cream make it all mushy?

strawcat 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

sour cream and onion flavored chips, not the condiment.

cokanicola 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Yes, regular potato chips,BUT, only in subs. I love the extra crunch

lazy_detective 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

Yes, yes I do. If I have fritos and wonder bread around I'll make a frito sandwich which is usually just fritos and bread but sometimes I'll add butter. I also crush tortilla chips into my burritos when I make them.

I am fat.

Meadmoon 0 points1 point 4 months ago[-]

I love doing this.

My favorite is a peanut butter and black berry preserve and Dorito sandwich on whole wheat toasted potato bread.

Do want now. D:

phoenixfirekitten -1 points0 points 4 months ago[-]

Ooooooooh yes! I loves tato chips in muh sammiches! But then again, I also like PB and cheese...

LurkingGrue -3 points-2 points 4 months ago[-]

That's why I put lettuce on my sandwiches. Chips are for the side because they're starchy like the bread and fatty like the cheese.

omgChubbs [S] 5 points6 points 4 months ago[-]

Lettuce goes in there too... But lettuce crunch and chip crunch are WORLDS apart.

xmzx -4 points-3 points 4 months ago[-]

No. I don't like anything on my burger besides cheese, and if I'm feeling rebellious, some bacon.
