Thanks for the article. Now I guess the question is what happens to the 'rescued' dog being held at animal control.

[–]hardlyimportant 6 points7 points ago

Kyle Dyer. Too bad. She really likes animals. Surprised she put her face so close.

[–]TK44Edgewater[S] 9 points10 points ago

Yeah.. I read some of the comments on their Facebook page- Dog super stressed- shame on owner- she shouldn't have put her face so near- etc etc.. I am hoping that it doesn't end badly for the dog.

[–]GrantNexusLakewood 3 points4 points ago

It shouldn't. Dogs bite. You don't kill one just because it follows its nature. In dog world, it was just saying 'get lost,' not "I'm going to bite the living hell out of you."

[–]youngbridget 0 points1 point ago

I agree, this was really unfortunate on both sides. She shouldn't have gotten so close, that was a poor choice.... but I know the bite was nasty! I feel bad for her too.

It wasn't our very own triplejdude, was it?

[–]TK44Edgewater[S] 2 points3 points ago

Didn't pay attention to her name- So ironic that they were doing a special on this Mastiff that they rescued from a local reservoir yesterday and just as she was wrapping up the report the dog took a chunk out of her face.. ouch!

If it's a her, it ain't him.

out of her face

Oh god...that is fucked.

Who's triplejdude?

I thought he was a Post writer, not a news anchor...

[–]m0viestarLakewood 1 point2 points ago

he is? Denver post I though...

[–]GrantNexusLakewood 4 points5 points ago

No, he's an investigative reporter for 9news. The injured reporter was Kyle Dyer, who is part of the standard morning news crew.

[–]redmongrel 2 points3 points ago

A video of the bite MUST exist by now...

Update: Here is the video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsueLsz8Z4g

I saw it before it was deleted, it honestly didn't seem as bad as the Post makes it sound. The really strange part was the dog's teeth and jaws were out and open like he had a bone in his mouth and she proceeded to grab both sides of the dogs face and move in to almost kiss it's nose or something that's when Mr. "I escaped death yesterday, don't fuck with me" decided enough was enough and nipped at her catching her lip.

[–]SaydrahArvada 7 points8 points ago

Sounds like a stupid mistake I would make right before yelling "MY FAULT MY FAULT!" as someone pulled the dog off me. And I do know better. I've trained seriously reactive dogs as a hobby for years. The relief of the dog being saved probably made her stupid. I hope she ensures the dog is not PTS for a totally understandable bite.

There wasn't much to see.

Next time I see Kyle I'm going to tell her she's a good news anchor then try to kiss her on the mouth.

[–]TK44Edgewater[S] 1 point2 points ago

been checking all morning.. no luck yet. Note to self: next time I see animals on the news be sure to hit the 'record' button on the remote.

[–]ChurchillDownz 0 points1 point ago

This literally happened in my back yard and I missed the entire thing.

[–]Tyler5280Downtown 1 point2 points ago

That sucks, I see where Kyle at work a lot and she's always very friendly, I hope they don't destroy the animal though, being in a studio environment is very stressful to an animal. :(

[–]ieatmakeup 0 points1 point ago

Here's a video of it.

[–]alex_mk3 0 points1 point ago

I guess the owner is getting sited for the bite, leash law violation because he didn't have control of the dog and for not having proof of rabies vaccine and they are holding the dog at the denver animal shelter. that sucks :/
