Ouch. Glad to see you're ok.

Wow! it looks like any backseat passengers would have been OK as well.

You would be correct, the damage stopped right at the passenger compartment, I was thankfully alone at the time.

I shudder to think what would have happened if she plowed into a family of four in a small hatchback.

Sheesh! That's one heck of an impact!

Looks like some red bandana wearing banditos are making off with your car.

The crumple zones work! Glad you're ok. Any idea what the other driver was doing at the time?

She claims she dropped her phone, I am guessing she was texting.

Wow, what the hell was the other driver doing that led to him hitting you like that? It's amazing how relatively little damage you and the car took given the nature of the impact.

That said, I do hope you went to a hospital and saw someone who specializes in the spine. It's not uncommon to feel fine right after an accident only to have underlying damage that doesn't become and issue until later. If this is the case, you need to find out about it now, especially when it comes to legal dealings with the truck driver.

Hope everything goes well and you'll love the 335xi!

She claims that she dropped her phone and was looking for it. ಠ_ಠ

I am guessing she was texting or something.

I went to the ER the next day and got checked out. I am refusing to sign the pain and suffering agreement from their insurance agent so I can retain my rights if something would happen in the future.

And yes, I do love my 335xi I had it for maybe two months now, amazing what a few years newer and a few more horses can do to a car.

Yeah, that's ridiculous, especially in a massive truck like that.

Smart man.

Really fantastic cars and I have a feeling that that the design of the coupe especially will age gracefully. Got any pictures?

I'll toss a few pics together a bit later...

I was a little late, but here at the pics

Wow the truck is completely fine?! wtf thats nuts.

glad your ok mate.

[–]steimes[S] 1 point2 points ago

Not sure if it was completely fine. The push bar was pretty well tenderized, and it bent the frame a bit (where it attached to the bar), and I can't be sure, but there is something going on on the drivers side wheel arch (zoom in on my pic of her truck).

Wow that truck is fucking massive. I would have completely flipped my shit if that happened to me. Glad to know you're okay and enjoying the new car!

A similar thing happened to me in my Honda, and it's why I now have my E36. Only, I was actually moving and the dude still totaled my car. His Explorer was fine :(
