Generally people are hot-headed assholes. I've mentioned twice that in my culture (or maybe just circle of friends, who knows) it's not expected to take your shoes off upon entering a house. The ensuing shit storms lasted for hours.

Edit: I'm starting to think Karma is like democracy. It doesn't work but the results are better than any other option.

1) There are a million subscribers to /r/funny alone. Clearly there are going to be idiotic posts and all that - this isn't a holy sanctuary of people who have gone to university and gotten their PHD's etc.

2)If crap is being voted to the top, it's clear that it's what a majority want.

I hate the imgur snobs. Heaven forbid someone uses a different or more reliable image sharing site.... this includes the imgur users that exclusively use the site to share photos from links already posted, or reposts under the ruse of another title. Saying "down voted for using flickr/other site" makes me upvote the OP just cuz.
Double standards tick me off. Eg: random pic post, next to follow is "random pic post fixed", followed by "fixed fixed". It can be good fun, but... Poor Joe posts a "fixed" pic and is downvoted or has been flagged by mods. There's many other double standards but, well, you know.
People who spend eons searching for a link that is 2 years old because a new user did not know they reposted.
Good post downvoted so quick you'll miss in a blink. Rude comments up the wahzoo. Reposted with one of the rude commenters as the new OP. I call these people "post stealers" or lazy asses who can't find their own good content.
Reddit is not newbie friendly, and I've been here enough to experience being a newbie and see a few batches start posting. Does a master list of subreddits exist to appease those who downvote strictly because a picture is in the 'wrong' place?
Biggest grudge: When a photo has more downvotes than views. Why downvote something you haven't seen? And people who log in just to downvote (and state those intentions). I voiced this concern and that did not go over well. I get it, no memes for me, fine, but my point is valid. And I'm sorry I don't say "that is all", "sir", "like a boss", or the other titles that get posts noticed. I'm just not cool enough for Reddit.
If my Secret Santa is stalking me in the future, I like art, wouldn't mind something that reflects yourself, and I enjoy the pet photos here. There, I admitted it, you heard me. I like animals.

If I had a second one, it's how many people found it okay for /r/jailbait to remain on the site. Guys. People take suggestive (probably private) pictures of 13-17 year old girls from Facebook profiles and post them on another site, without their knowledge or permission, for over twenty thousand strangers (and that's just the subscribers) to fap to. This isn't a state. It's a privately-owned website. The site owners don't have a responsibility to allow any and every kind of "free speech" possible. I don't see how that is speech in any way, anyway. It's adults jerking off to stolen pictures of 13 year old girls.

But as an example, the other day I had an exchange with a guy who bitched about the way people were upvoting something, and I looked at his post history. Hundreds of posts complaining about how stupid Redditors are, and next to no actual contributions to any threads.

If you're spending anything like the time bitching that you're spending writing a post worth reading, you're likely more of a problem than whatever it is you're bitching about.

The forever alone shit. Every time someone makes a joke about their girlfriend there is immediately a [FIXED] post about not having a girlfriend. Every AskReddit question about past relationships, there is a comment near the top saying "never had one" or "what girlfriend?". Most people struggle to find relationships. Some have worse luck than others, but jesus christ I find it hard to believe that so many of you have never had one relationship. And the joke is getting really old.

EDIT: Also when something makes the front page and the OP says something like "Wow, front page thanks reddit!" It just bugs me.

The constant fucking circlejerk going on this site at every moment. If you express an opinion that deviates from the liberal white male atheist who works in computer science or engineering who has their money in a credit union majority CALL IN THE DOWNVOTE BRIGADES.

I'm not sure if it's just something I'm realizing lately, but r/circlejerk has made its way out of that sub and become the rest of the site. It's like I'm posting on circlejerk.com/c/reddit.

On top of that, there's an absurd amount of negativity. I understand the skepticism in certain pictures (some are clearly shopped) or AMAs and I understand the value of pointing out that something is a repost, but when someone points it out they're increasingly becoming condescending dickheads.

And I haven't even been here this long.

I don't understand why people who make posts about their kids get so much hate. I get that some people either dislike children or really don't give a shit, but I don't get why most of the comments are so rude when someone posts anything about their child.
