You have to be fucking kidding me. This is hopelessly pathetic.

You probably tell her inane shit like "I'm always here for you" or "you deserve so much better", but that shit isn't attractive. All it tells her is that she can get away with bitching to you whenever it's convenient for her, and you'll happily go along with it. What part of that is going to make her "wake up" and throw herself at you?

Next time she calls, don't spend hours consoling her on the phone. Fuck that. If she calls from home, upset, talk for a few minutes. Then excuse yourself and hang the fuck up. Go to the store. Get some flowers. Go to her house, surprise her, and give her the fucking flowers. Offer to take her mind off her shitty situation and go do something fun. Go for ice cream, or a walk, something simple.. not a candlelit dinner and a movie, this isn't a date and you're not her boyfriend. But have fun for an hour or two, be spontaneous, and be confident while you're doing it.

If none of that works, oh well, find someone else, but if you're really attracted to her and you can't be bothered to do anything more than talk to her on the phone when she's upset, then you probably don't deserve her any more than the "jerks" who managed to catch her attention better than you ever have.
