Homeward Bound.

At the end of the movie when all the other pets come over the top of the hill except the golden retriever...

...and the little boy who was sad: "he was just too old..." and then the dog comes limping over the hill and run towards him. Goddamnit. sniff

Iron Giant ending.

"Super-man"

Like a bitch, every time.

Braveheart, when he screams Freedom.

Dead Poets Society, when they all stand on top of their tables.

In my entire life, I've only cried once during a movie - "My Girl." When Macauley Culkin dies. It's not a macho thing; I just have an inability to cry during movies. This movie made me ball my eyes out though.

Spoiler Alert The Green Mile Spoiler Alert - John Coffey's execution scene when he says to Tom Hanks' character something to the effect of, "Please don't put that hood on me, I's afraid of the dark", with tears rolling down his terrified face. If that scene doesn't twang you a little bit, you have no soul. Still the only scene I cried over.

Titanic.

I feel like I'm disqualified from claiming emotional depth, because that film was an emotional rollercoaster for me...

Alien. The part where Ripley blows the alien out of the airlock. It's just so fucking sad...

DrBaracktopus 12 points13 points 4 months ago[-]

What about the fourth one where the alien thinks she's his mom, all he wanted to do was love!

JudasKandinsky 13 points14 points 4 months ago[-]

It's too bad they never made more than two films.

AI, when they kill the robots...all those parts just wasted, i'm sure they could have saved some RAM or something. Hell they probably had SSDs...fucking waste.

The Passion Of The Christ.

I didn't watch it within it's religious context; All I saw it as was a movie about a mob completely destroying a timid man. It was pretty brutal.

Edward Scissorhands & What Dreams May Come

bluesparrow 18 points19 points 4 months ago[-]

What Dreams May Come is a beautiful movie.

DubiousDrewski 10 points11 points 4 months ago[-]

I was in 8th grade when that movie was released. For some strange bewildering reason, I thought the title of the movie was "Wet Dreams may Come". I thought it was a strange name for a serious movie, but I chalked it up to maybe not understanding the term "Wet Dream" as much as I thought I had.

I went around using that title until someone graciously corrected me while giving me a wide-eyed stare.
